The University of Texas at Tyler will feature the MA Thesis Exhibition for Brittany Taylor and Coy A. Lothrop the Fall 2018 semester at the University Center Gallery. "Human Nature" opens Monday, October 29.
This show features two MA candidates and is in partial fulfillment of the Master of fine arts degree. Student artists are Brittany Taylor of Hallsville and Coy A. Lothrop of Kilgore.
A public reception with gallery talks by the artists is 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 30 in the gallery space. The show concludes Friday, November 9. The gallery space is in the University Center on the University of Texas at Tyler campus. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment.
Brittany Taylor's delicate acrylic paintings interpret the idea of human memory and the fractured, distorted nature of recalling particular moments in a time.
Coy A. Lothrop’s traditional oil portraits address the human condition, emotionality, and how growth, intimacy, conflict, and mortality manifest in the human figure.
