Wanderlust

Upcoming: Japan 2025

Japan is a place where cutting-edge technology leaps from the towers in flashes of light, but there is a polite order to this urbanization that is defined by the ancient world that remains. The Osaka Castle is seemingly unfazed by the neighboring sea of skyscrapers, and is a living testimony of Japan’s unique journey into modernization. Japan is a microcosm of civilization at heart.

Spring Break in Tokyo

Traveling with five other students, we spent an inspiring 8 days in the magnificent city of Tokyo and its surrounding region, including Mt. Fuji, Lake Ashi, Hakone, and Kamakura.

Rome, Florence,
& Paris 2023

We saw the artistic highlights of the classical, Renaissance and modern periods for 11 days of boots-on-the-ground exploration. We started off with the Vatican, where we spent the afternoon admiring the architecture and famous murals of St. Peter’s Basilica and Sistine Chapel. We ate our way through Rome, Florence, and Assisi. And what better way to experience the myriad of treasures in the Louvre and the Musee d’Orsay than with a resident art historian.

Scotland, Ireland,
& England 2019

We dove into city life as we explored three different European capitals that each had their own unique personality. We walked along the famous cobblestones at Dublin’s Temple Bar, marveled at London’s iconic Big Ben, and fell in love with Scotland’s historic Edinburgh Castle.

Weekend in Paris

I typically take students with me overseas, but this short weekend jaunt to Paris, France was a solo tour.

Amsterdam, Paris,
& London 2018

We walk along the picturesque waterways that inspired the likes of Rembrandt and Seurat. Our tour began at the River Amstel, whose palette changed from residential to rural in a few short steps. Three hundred miles downstream, it’s the serpentine River Seine that winds wildly through France to give Paris its charm. We also took a train into London and explored the cities royal district.

Let’s go!
